One thing we are all aware of is that we could do with losing a few pounds now and again.  We’re also advised to measure body fat and water content for a full sense of our body’s general health and wellbeing. 

 

The human body is approximately 70% water, which lubricates joints and eyes, aids digestion, flushes out toxins and waste products and keeps the skin healthy.  If the water content of the body is reduced, then dehydration can occur.

 

The amount of body fat you carry makes a difference to your body’s shape and overall health.  Muscle is more compact than fat, so measuring body fat % can be very motivational when trying to lose weight, especially if you are exercising as well.
